Gibson von Gill
Early in the morning, the calls for help kept coming into the rescue. A German Shepherd had collapsed on the sidewalk in South Los Angeles, not far from the rescue. No one wanted to call animal control because the dog who had collapsed on the sidewalk was in such bad shape, not only was he skin and bones, but his skin was badly infected. Animal control would have known no owner was coming for a dog like this! So thanks to two kind hearted people who work for Westside were there within minutes; the big sweet guy was so happy to climb into the van. The pictures you see here are after weeks of being in the hospital, now he is at the kennel. Gibson’s name, inspired by the name of a street where he was found, needs a foster home or a forever home where he can continue to heal! He is going to be a magnificent looking dog, well-bred classic German Shepherd. How did this happen to him??? (he is about 2-3 years old) |
